Toyboy Scarf

This simple, stylish scarf really shows off the cabling at its best. The cables are reminiscent to me of classic pullovers and the final effect is a homey, warm feeling. Make it for someone special in your life.

24sts/31rws at 4” in cabled stitch on US 6 / 4mm needles

Cables (C3L): Sl 3 st onto a cable needle and hold at front, k3, then k3 from the cable needle

The Scarf

Cast on 60 stitches, loosely.

Rows 1-26: k60.

Cabled body of scarf: (See chart below)

Row 1: k7, p6, k2, p10, k2, p6, k2, p10, k2, p6, k7.
Row 2: k5, p2, k6, p2, k10, p2, k6, p2, k10, p2, k6, p2, k5.
Row 3: k7, p6, k2, p10, k2, p6, k2, p10, k2, p6, k7.
Row 4: k5, p2, C3L, p2, k10, p2, C3L, p2, k10, p2, C3L, p2, k5.
Row 5: k7, p6, k2, p10, k2, p6, k2, p10, k2, p6, k7.
Row 6: k5, p2, k6, p2, k10, p2, k6, p2, k10, p2, k6, p2, k5.
Row 7: k7, p6, k2, p10, k2, p6, k2, p10, k2, p6, k7.
Row 8: k5, p2, k6, p2, k10, p2, k6, p2, k10, p2, k6, p2, k5.

Repeat rows 1-8 until desired length is reached (48 repeats in this scarf).

Begin end border:

K60 for 26 rows to create end border.

Cast off loosely. Weave in yarn ends using a large darning needle.

Blocking

Lay flat on a towel, pin into position and spray lightly with water, leave to dry completely.
