Take Me to Paris

Take Me To Paris

Whenever I think of vintage, I think of Paris. It could be because I’ve seen Funny Face too many times (who doesn’t love vintage and also love Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire), or it could be because it is the city of love—and I’m a big fan of love. This little spring scarflette incorporates the image of Paris into a simple lace pattern that can easily be made larger into a full length scarf, or made smaller into something such as a bookmark, using a super-soft yarn that is luxurious against your skin.

Finishing

If desired, add fringe to both ends of the scarflette. Cut about 40 5-inch lengths of yarn. Fold them in half and thread loop end through the tapestry needle. Pull the loop end, using the tapestry needle, through the edge stitch on one side of the scarflette. Take the two live ends of yarn piece and thread them through the loop end. Pull the two ends tight to secure fringe piece. Continue doing this with pieces of yarn to both edges of scarflette until the desired amount of fringe has been added. Trim fringe to be even.
